Dockers player cleared of coronavirus

The Fremantle Dockers are breathing a sigh of relief after the player who was tested for coronavirus was given the all-clear.

The player, who was not named by the club, had contact with a friend who had been in China earlier this year.

According to the player, the friend underwent a 14-day isolation period after returning to Australia, during which he suffered no flu-like symptoms.

The friend then travelled to Perth to visit the Dockers player.

The player was tested on Monday for the coronavirus after coming down with flu-like symptoms.

The Dockers released a statement on Tuesday saying that test was negative.
