Fremantle Dockers vs Adelaide Crows Preview
The Dockers and Crows meet at Optus for the first time since 2018 with differing goals in mind.
Flagmantle has been the word on everyones lips in Perth following a perfect 2-0 start, while the hapless Crows are still in search of four points on the back of last Fridays three-goal defeat to Geelong.
The Dockers midfield has been exciting to watch, led by Brownlow smokey Caleb Serong and a stronger, leaning looking Nat Fyfe.
Justin Longmuir looked like a coach under siege at the start of the year, but with his side playing a more attacking, freely flowing brand of footy, suddenly Freo looks every bit a finals contender.
The Crows, on the other hand, have looked sluggish at times. Tex Walker owns just two goals on the year, while turnovers and a lack of disposal efficiency has suddenly crept into their game.
Its only early days though, and while Adelaide has plenty to improve on, I do think the Crows have done plenty right.
So far, no team has been better at getting the ball inside 50, not to mention their success around the clearances.
The Dockers at home are a tough out, but we did see Brisbane kick five goals early on them just two weeks ago.
There were some danger signs early last week against North, and if the Crows can figure out how to convert those forward half opportunities into points, they might jag a much-deserved win at a nice price.
