Easily the game of the round between two of the four remaining unbeaten sides in the competition.

The Blues cruised to a handy 56-point win over North last week on Good Friday, another strong showing from the ‘Twin Towers’ up forward with Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow enjoying their share of the spoils in front of goal.

The Dockers did it easy themselves in a blowout over the Crows, the midfield again proving too strong – led by another masterclass from Caleb Serong and Hayden Young.

Last year, the Blues ran out comfortable winners when these two sides met late in the year – a loss that largely put a pen through Fremantle’s finals hopes.

Carlton’s size through the midfield did enough to bully the Dockers out of the contest, while their firepower up forward was unmatched with the Blues kicking nine unanswered goals in the final term.

The Dockers look a finals contender with the way Justin Longmuir’s midfield is attacking the footy, but it’s fair to ask: who have they beaten this year?

On the flip side, you could ask the same of Carlton – both sides’ biggest scalp being Brisbane to start the year.

To me, this game should go right down to the wire, but after watching the two butt heads only as recently as last July, I think the Blues ultimately run away with this one in a low-scoring affair.
