Geelong Cats supported late to beat Hawthorn Hawks at MCG

Punters have seen value in the $3.00 on offer for the Cats tonight, while at least one punter is convinced Fremantle will make their first Grand Final, placing a bet of $30,000 this morning with online bookmaker sportsbet.

Despite being outsiders tonight, there has now been more bets placed on the Cats compared to the Hawks, although there has been double the money on the Hawks at $1.41.

Fremantle still remain the most likely team to play in the last Saturday in September, firming from $1.31 to $1.28 while punters have no interest in Sydney who are out from $3.55 to $3.85.

“Punters are thinking that Fremantle are the safest bet of the week and despite Sydney’s brilliant finals record, their injuries seem to have scared away the punters,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

And for the first time this year Hawthorn are now less than an even money chance to win the flag, firming from $2.00 to $1.95.

In week three of the finals, sportsbet.com.au will be refunding head to head bets if your team in the Preliminary Finals lose by 18 points or less!
