GWS Giants co-captain Phil Davis says matching arch rival Sydney in the midfield will be the key to winning their maiden AFL finals match on Saturday.

The key defender reckons the minor premiership-winning Swans deserve to be favourites for the ANZ Stadium qualifier and his midfielders in particular are preparing for some hot competition.

“If we can match it inside with them it gives us every chance,” he said on Friday.
