The ‘Showtime’ Hawks are the talk of the footy world after dismantling Carlton last week to secure a spot in the eight.

Hawthorn’s aggressive ball movement and ability to score from their back half caused the Blues a world of problems from start to finish, and based on everything we’ve seen from the brown and gold, this is simply a team most clubs would likely fear come finals.

Two favourable games against the Tigers and North stand between the Hawks and a well-deserved finals berth, but with a back log of teams vying for their spot, Sam Mitchell and company still need to take care of business.

The ‘Tiges have seemingly given up this late in the year, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Adam Yze made some big selection changes to send a message to a handful of key players.

Still, the Hawks dismantled Richmond just over a month ago to spoil Dusty Martin’s 300th, and with confidence sky high and their potent group of small forwards firing on all cylinders, it’s hard to see them losing this game.
