Carlton could make another late team change in this AFL finals series, with ruckman Matthew Kreuzer no certainty to play against Sydney.
The Blues named an unchanged side for Saturday night’s knockout semi-final against the Swans at ANZ Stadium.
All the selection news centred on Sydney, who announced that star Adam Goodes would not return this year, no matter how far they progress.
Goodes has not played since round 13 because of a knee injury.
He trained on Tuesday, but was sore during Thursday’s warm-up and the Swans decided not to push him.
Kreuzer is also in doubt with a calf muscle injury.
The Blues made two late changes for last Sunday’s upset elimination final win over Richmond.
The second came only a few minute before the opening bounce, with midfielder Brock McLean ruled out during the warmup.
McLean was named as one of the emergencies for Saturday night.
Another is tall utility Levi Casboult, who would be the obvious replacement should Kreuzer not recover in time.
The Swans made two changes for Saturday, leaving out Gary Rohan and losing Ben McGlynn with a calf injury.
Harry Cunningham and Shane Biggs will make their AFL finals debuts.
The Swans will start favourites but the Blues are full of confidence after coming back from 32 points down early in the third term against Richmond for a massive win.
Goodes is the latest of several injury setbacks for Sydney in their premiership defence.
