GWS ruckman Shane Mumford has escaped AFL match review sanction for the collision that left Carlton veteran Marc Murphy in hospital with suspected fractured ribs.

But Blues veteran Dale Thomas was referred directly to Tuesday night’s tribunal for umpire abuse.
