The North v Pies clash at Marvel Stadium is, without doubt, the game of the round, rightful of top billing and hopefully, a crowd to watch it.

Naturally, the football gods had other ideas as the Kangaroos went down to Melbourne by 9 points in what many describe as one of, if not the greatest AFLW game ever played.

North allowed Melbourne to score six goals in the second quarter, but raced back in the second half pushing the final outcome all the way to the siren.

Perhaps to put it like former Prime Minister Paul Keating, last week was the loss North Melbourne AFLW had to have.

Collingwood simply outclassed Richmond with a 17 point win.

The Magpies, led by co-captain, Brianna Davey who dominated made the most of the windy conditions at Punt Road and put plenty of pressure on the Tigers, who gave away easy free kicks.

The Magpies remain unbeaten and have proven to be a very exciting team to watch so far in season 2021.

You would expect North Melbourne to get back on the winner’s list in this one, and this game will be a test to see where Collingwood are really at.
