Carlton key forward Levi Casboult will miss the AFL clash against West Coast after accepting a one-match ban for striking.
Casboult submitted an early guilty plea after being booked for striking Adelaide’s Kyle Hartigan.
The 26-year-old’s suspension comes a week after a similar “gut punch” kept out Essendon’s David Zaharakis for a week.
Given Carlton’s scoring woes and the high-profile Zaharakis case, coach Brendon Bolton is entitled to be furious with the Tasmanian-raised forward.
He will miss the Blues home match with West Coast on Sunday.
With six other players accepting $1000 fines for various charges, the tribunal will not be required to sit on Tuesday evening.
