Port’s young guns steered the way in their 59-point upset thumping of Essendon last round and with every win crucial to the 9th placed Power, they won’t be taking the 15th placed Swans lightly on Saturday afternoon.
Connor Rozee was everywhere for Port against the Dons, having seven scoring shots and 22 touches, with the Power putting together a dominant display at both ends of the ground. The challenge for Ken Hinkley’s charges this season has been backing up week after week and the Swans won’t just roll over at the Adelaide Oval.
With a 4-1 record at the ground, the red and whites won’t be afraid of their underdog tag, scoring on average 99 points per game in five visits to the Oval. Coming off a two-point loss to the Giants, Sydney is sure to be fired up and are better than average against the handicap and even better on the road, at 11-8 and 6-3 respectively.
Port has lost both of its matches at the Adelaide Oval against Sydney, but has won its last two against the Swans in the past two seasons.
