Another home game is certainly to the advantage of Port, and looking at their upcoming schedule, it’s one they should be very eager to win.
The Power face the Saints, Bombers, North, and Melbourne over the next month, but they should feel confident heading into Saturday’s clash against a West Coast team that is ravaged with injury and rock-bottom in terms of confidence.
To their credit, the Eagles put up a fight early against the Cats last week before ultimately suffering another blowout loss. The hot seat under Adam Simpson is only growing warmer, and it’s clear the Eagles’ reserves aren’t up to AFL level.
As we saw last week against Geelong, the line is well north of 40 points. Remaining in Adelaide is a slight help, but it’s hard to look past the fact the Power won 14 goals against West Coast when they met this time last year.
With Port proving difficult to beat in the clearances and the Eagles giving up goals at an alarming rate, there’s really only one way to play this game.
