A matchup that six years ago the ladder positions would be reversed, but now, the Blues sit up the top end, a game clear in second, looking to add to the Tigers woes in 17th.

The Tigers will come into the game with fresh legs after their week off, and although form suggests a one-sided affair, you only have to go back to Round 1 where the Blues just got it done by 5 points.

The biggest difference since then is the Blues ability to defend fast-paced transition, and whilst it’s not perfect, it’s certainly minimised the work they have to do offensively.

Since the Blues were belted by the Swans, they’ve conceded an average of 72 points per game, a trend that would guarantee them a win against most sides in the competition.

The problem for Richmond has been a lack of depth in the talent department because they certainly haven’t been uncompetitive, they just can’t sustain patches of momentum for too long.

Richmond will need to be creative moving inside 50, and key contribution from their midfield group will certainly help their woes of finding a reliable key target up forward as of late.

Tom Lynch was kept quiet against the Hawks and can’t afford for it to happen again if the Tigers are to post a winning score.

The midfield battle will be leaning in favour of the Blues and there’s a possibility they’ll get even stronger with the return of Adam Cerra to the mix.

There’s too much for the Tigers to contain, and whilst they’re very likely to put up a good contest, matching the pressure for four quarters will take their all.
