Since the grand finalists were confirmed last Saturday night, Geelong ($2.10) has received more support from TAB punters to defeat Richmond ($1.80) at the Gabba on Saturday night and win their first premiership since 2011.
The Cats have attracted 58 percent of the money wagered by TAB customers including one bet of $10,000 at $2.10 as Geelong aim to thwart the Tigers’ chances of back-to-back premierships and three flags in four seasons.
One TAB punter is hoping that their foresight pays off on Saturday night after placing a $5000 bet at $15 on June 11 on the Cats to win this season’s premiership, which would result in a $75,000 collect.
Dustin Martin is one of only four players to win two Norm Smith medals and he is the $5 favourite at TAB to be adjudged best-on-ground this Saturday night with Patrick Dangerfield the $6 second elect.
Martin has garnered 21 percent of support from TAB customers ahead of Dangerfield (13 percent), $13 chance Bachar Houli (eight percent) and $21 hope Gary Ablett (seven percent).
Tom Hawkins ($9) and Tom Lynch ($10) are jostling for favouritism in TAB’s first goalkicker market for the 2020 AFL grand final.
