Brisbane heads to Punt Road Oval the red-hot clear favourite against Richmond who is still yet to win a game in their AFLW history.
This will be the first AFLW meeting between the two clubs.
The Lions have always been amongst it since the AFLW started in 2017, making two Grand Finals (2017, 2018) and playing finals in 2020 – going down convincingly to Carlton in the semis before the season was cancelled.
They remain very much intact list wise and many expect Brisbane to challenge for another finals campaign this season.
Richmond had a very disappointing debut AFLW season, failing to win a game and finishing in the bottom of conference A.
There were shades of brilliance from the likes of Monique Conti and despite some high-profile recruits the Tigers failed to fire.
The aim for Richmond in AFLW 2021 is to win a game, Richmond kept busy during the trade period and is still very much a work in progress.
A recent pre-season hit out against the Western Bulldogs saw the Tigers showed signs they will be more competitive this season.
Brisbane is at Winx-like odds to win this match and the line has been set at a very generous -20.5
If the Tigers can show something, they might be able to just beat it.
