Friday nights clash between the Saints and Cats presents a great opportunity for both teams to get a much-needed win.

St Kilda was simply outclassed by Carlton, specifically, League MVP Maddi Prespakis last week as the Saints went down by 24 points at Moorabbin.

On a windy Moorabbin day, the Saints had the breeze in the first quarter but failed to capitalise when inside 50 and on the scoreboard.

The Saints currently sit 9th on the AFLW ladder with just one victory back in the opening round against the Bulldogs and have lost their past two.

Geelong, who are currently sitting on the bottom, are yet to win a match this season along with three other sides.

The Cats are coming off yet another disappointing loss, this time by 15 points at the hands of the Western Bulldogs.

So far in 2021, the Cats have been goalless in nine out of 12 quarters of football and there has been critique about their structures and inside 50s amongst AFLW pundits.

St Kilda will go into this game the rightful favourites, and it’s hard to make a case for a Cats upset.
