The Dees go into this game the clear $1.22 favorite after putting on a slick performance against the Western Bulldogs in the wet, windy conditions at Whitten Oval last weekend.
The Dogs put up a spirited performance against the Dees but under the tough conditions Melbourne was able to ramp up the pressure with the likes of Karen Paxman’s class and Shelly Scott proving herself as a wet-weather specialist.
Expansion team St Kilda dominated for most of the match last weekend against the Crows and would have been considered unlucky not to get the job done as Adelaide made a charge in the last 10 minutes of the game to win by 13 points.
Kate McCarthy was one of the standouts for the Saints kicking the first goal of the match and the match was a bit of a shootout with the second quarter being highly entertaining to watch.
The Saints have shown plenty of promise so far in their two AFLW games and are the kind of team that can get a big scalp on their day.
Beating the undefeated Melbourne on their home deck would be an ideal situation for them, the line being -15.5 in favour of the Dees means backing the Saints to beat it could be one of the best value bets of the round.
