Sydney Swans vs Fremantle Dockers Preview
Not many punters would be looking at this game sensing a lot of value, and the Swans have sadly done that to us.
Ruthless across the board and dominant wherever they go, there is no sign of slowing down for the Swans, although inevitably they will once they secure top spot.
That still hasnt happened, and the Dockers will come to the Harbour City full of belief they can win until its suddenly over.
Theyve been labelled as silent assassins of this year, ready to take a team by surprise, which could be true, but they have been hit or miss recently.
They were quite competitive against the Swans earlier in the year, and the loss of Cam McCarthy might have had an input into that performance, as they were shut down quickly with poor goal-kicking.
If there is one side that has structures to defensively limit the Swans, its Fremantle, and they must be strict on shutting down corridor access, as the Swans too easily dictate the flow of a game.
Freo lead the league for stoppage clearances and if they can get on top in that area, theyll be able to generate a little bit of momentum in the forward half.
Maintaining a consistent behind-the-ball setup is the way the Dockers will keep the score within touch, but to do it for four quarters is the challenging part.
This is unlikely to be a blow-out, but the Swans will put their foot down at some point.
