The Eagles are flying high in second spot and could jump into first with a big win and a Cats loss when they play Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.
Winners of six of their past seven games, West Coast are purring along just nicely as they bid to win a second premiership in as many seasons. Ahead of them this round are the Crows, who were desperate for a win last round and got it with a 22-point triumph against the Saints.
A chasing pack of three teams sit a game behind the Crows, which means they can’t afford to put in a limp performance, with remaining games against Collingwood and the Bulldogs.
Remarkably, the Crows have played just once at Optus Stadium, for a three-point loss. Trends this season favour the overs when these two sides play, with the over hitting 11 times for the Eagles and 10 times for Adelaide. In Perth, the Eagles are 8-2 straight up, but just 5-5 against the spread.
