What will worry the Giants the most is their defensive capabilities, as theyve been conceding quite heavily at times in scoring shots, even though finals scores dont reflect it at first glance.
The Dogs lead the competition for inside 50s per game, although the Giants are second best at marking inside 50, so lockdown defending is a must for the Dogs to stop Jesse Hogans hands.
Both sides thrive off contested footy, and the MARS Stadium ground accounts for that, with a lot of swirls that stops quick transition at times.
Inside 50, the Dogs are top four for tackle pressure, so their ability to lock it in might prove the difference in finding repeat opportunities in front of goal.
Last year the Giants beat the Dogs by five points at Mars, but the stakes are much higher this time, and the Dogs already beat the Giants earlier this year.
