Australian centre Andrew Bogut injured his left ankle early in Milwaukee’s drought-breaking 105-99 NBA win over Houston on Wednesday.
Stephen Jackson and Brandon Jennings each scored 20 points and Ersan Ilyasova had a career-high 19 rebounds as the Bucks snapped an 11-game losing streak in Houston.
Bogut left the court after spraining his left ankle in the first quarter and did not return to action.
He wore a protective boot after the game and walked out of the locker room on crutches.
He had more tests scheduled for Thursday, and couldn’t say when he might return to action. Milwaukee play in Chicago on Friday night.
“I’m not going to speculate,” Bogut said, “but it feels really sore and pretty painful.
“It’s pretty swollen, the usual when you do an ankle.
“Once we get the swelling down, we’ll probably get some MRIs and know a bit more.”
Milwaukee hit a season-high 14 shots from three-point range to win in Houston for the first time this millennium.
In other action on Wednesday, the Indiana Pacers became the first visiting team to win in Chicago this season, beating the Bulls 95-90 to close the gap between the NBA Central Division’s two top teams to 2-1/2 games.
Danny Granger scored 22 points and Roy Hibbert added 20 points for the Pacers.
In San Antonio, Matt Bonner and DeJuan Blair each scored 17 points as San Antonio handed surging Atlanta their first lopsided loss of the season in a 105-83 drubbing.
In Dallas, Kevin Love had 31 points and 10 rebounds to celebrate signing a rich new contract, leading Minnesota to a 105-90 road win over defending champions Dallas.
In Auburn Hills, Michigan, LeBron James scored 32 points, including the game’s last six from the free throw line, to lead Miami past Detroit 101-98.
