The India cricket team’s major backer has reversed its decision to stop its sponsorship and give up ownership of an IPL team.
Sahara India issued a joint statement with the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday to announce the move.
The BCCI made some concessions to Sahara because it is struggling to build the Pune Warriors team, especially with allrounder Yuvraj Singh missing because he is receiving cancer treatment.
Sahara has been promised an extension of the trading window for players, reinstatement of its auction money and the possibility of being allowed to play more than the mandated four foreigners.
