Pakistan in box seat against Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka were 0-2 at lunch in their second innings in the first Test against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

At the break, opener Dimuth Karunaratne (2) and Kaushal Silva (0) at the crease, with Sri Lanka needing another 177 runs to avoid an innings defeat.

Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 383 in their first innings to take a 179-run lead over Sri Lankan total of 204.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq was the last man out for 135.

Paceman Shamnida Eranga took 3-80 while left-arm spinner Rangana Herath finished with 3-93.
