Pattinson back as Aust make 3 changes

Quick James Pattinson returns to the Australian side for the third One Day International against England at the SCG on Sunday.

It is the first match Pattinson will have played for Australia since breaking down with a back injury in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s in July.

It will be the first ODI he has played since September 2012.

Pattinson will be straight into the action after England won the toss and elected to bat.

England have made two changes to the side which lost the second game in Brisbane after some incredible late innings hitting from James Faulkner.

Offspinning allrounder James Tredwell and Stuart Broad are into the England side with Joe Root and Boyd Rankin missing out.

Australia have made three changes to their team with Pattinson returning alongside Xavier Doherty and Dan Christian.

Mitchell Johnson, George Bailey and Clint McKay fall out of the side.

Australia take a 2-0 lead into the game and can wrap up the five-game series with victory.

A bone dry SCG wicket looks ideal for batting.
