Rain delays start to Dunedin Test

Rain will delay the start of the first cricket Test between New Zealand and South Africa in Dunedin.

Steady drizzle throughout Wednesday morning meant the covers were still on the pitch at University Oval less than an hour before the scheduled 1030 (0830 AEDT) start.

Play is unlikely to start before lunch.

The forecast is for the weather to clear in the afternoon and be fine for the rest of the Test.
