Sri Lanka reached 1-19 in their second innings at lunch on the fourth day of the third and final Test against Pakistan in Sharjah on Sunday.

At the break, opener Kaushal Silva was unbeaten on six and Kumar Sangakkara was five not out but they lost opener Dimuth Karunaratne for eight as Sri Lanka had an overall lead of 106 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 341 in their first innings, conceding a lead of 87 over Sri Lanka’s first innings total of 9-428 declared.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq made 63.

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath finished with figures of 5-125 while paceman Shaminda Eranga took a career best 4-60.

Sri Lanka lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the second Test in Dubai by nine wickets.

The first Test in Abu Dhabi ended in a draw.
