Andy Schleck says he will not take any joy from being given the 2010 Tour de France title as it comes as a result of Alberto Contador’s doping ban.
Schleck said Monday’s decision to ban the Spaniard over a positive doping test saddened him because he “always believed in his innocence.”
“I battled with Contador in that race and I lost, the 2010 runner-up said.
Schleck is a favourite for this year’s race again and he said that “if I succeed this year, I will consider it as my first Tour victory.”
