A star-studded field of 156 are set to descend upon TPC Craig Ranch this Friday (AEDT) for the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas.
Last year’s tournament saw a low scoring average of 69, and we should see our fair share of birdies again with several players looking to hone their craft ahead of next week’s second major, the PGA Championship.
2022 Masters winner Scottie Scheffler headlines the market, followed by Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, and Jordan Spieth.
Aussies have seen some success at this tournament in recent years with Adam Scott winning in 2008, followed by Jason Day in 2010.

Will Zalatoris – $21.00
Zalatoris is yet to taste a win this year, but boy he’s been close. The Dallas native is coming off three consecutive Top 10 finishes, while he also held his own on debut at TPC Craig Ranch last year finishing T17. This course is fairly forgiving in the sense that the fairways are easy to find, making the Greens in Regulation metric one of the keys to success. Zalatoris ranks Top 15 in that department, so all signs point towards another successful weekend.

Seamus Power – $46.00
The Irishman comes in on the back of two straight missed cuts after landing Top 30 at Augusta. Power’s struggled with his short game for most of the year, but he’s currently ranked sixth in that metric we just spoke about: Greens in Regulation. Tie that in with a T9 at this event last year, and the price above looks good value.
Jhonattan Vegas – $41.00
Vegas shouldn’t be short on motivation after carding two final rounds of 66 and 67 to share in a tie for ninth last year. The 37-year-old has looked sharp in recent weeks, finishing T4 at Corales prior to back-to-back Top 20 performances at the Texas Open and last week’s Wells Fargo Championship. Just needs to strike a hit putter to go with his consistent approach game.

Mathias Schwab – $126
The Austrian has been hit and miss at times this year, but I refer you back to his T8 performance at the Texas Open back in March. Schwab stormed home with a final round 68, and he does have the short game and the putting necessary to compete on a course like Craig Ranch.
