British Masters Best Bet

Rasmus Hojgaard, Outright Winner – $29.00

The boom on Rasmus Hojgaard is big and rightly so. Despite being just 20 years of age, Hojgaard already has two European Tour wins to his name.

One of those wins came here at The Belfry last year where he won the UK Championship in a playoff over Justin Walters. It was an outstanding performance that showed so much poise for someone so young.

Hojgaard has the perfect game for here where length off the tee is critical as is an accurate approach game. The Dane ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 10th in Driving Distance and 19th in Strokes Gained: Approach and clearly stands out in this field.

He has been plying his trade on the PGA Tour of late but three of his last four European Tour starts have netted Top 12 finishes.

British Masters Next Best

Louis De Jager – $29.00

Five-time Sunshine Tour winner Louis De Jager is playing some excellent golf and can contend for his first European Tour win this week.

De Jager is a big hitter with a strong game around the greens and if his putting can be competent, he is in the mix. De Jager ranks 12th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and 17th in Driving Distance, as well as 12th in Scrambling.

The South African also comes in playing some good golf. He has three Top 20s in his last five starts and has T-12 finishes at his last two tournaments.

British Masters Value Bet

Renato Paratore – $301.00

Defending champion Renato Paratore won this tournament at Close House last year and is a chance of repeating with another big performance here at The Belfry.

The young Italian plays his best golf in the UK so fancy he can improve sharply despite some mixed form of late. In eight UK events last season after the Tour resumed play, Paratore had six Top 40 finishes including his win in this event.

A strong short game is key to success at The Belfry and Paratore ranks 10th in Putting Average and 19th in Scrambling.

At triple figure odds, Paratore looks big-time overs.
