An considerably large amount of talent has flocked to Harbour Town Links this weekend as the 2020 RBC Heritage tees off on Thursday evening.
Following the long hiatus, several of the world’s Top 50 players have ventured to South Carolina with the PGA opening up another 12 spots ahead of the tournament.
Although this is one of golf’s more time-honoured events, it typically doesn’t attract a great deal of top-class talent when usually played just a week after the Masters.
This years field offers a tremendous opportunity for punters to cash-in however, and we are offering all our best bets in our complete 2020 RBC Heritage Preview below.
RBC Heritage Best Bet
Justin Thomas Top 10 Finish at $2.10
Thomas has returned to his absolute best during this shortened year to rank tied for first with Rory McIlroy and Sungjae Im in Top 10 finishes.
The 27-year-old was on his game last week at Colonial where he opened with a first-round 64 before a few struggles on the final day cost him a shot at the win.
This weekend will mark Thomas’ first look at Harbour Town since 2016, but considering his recent track record, he looks great value to finish among the leaders.
RBC Heritage Best Value
Xander Schauffele to Win at $21.00
The American hasn’t tasted a win since his victory at the Tournament of Champions back in January last year, but he certainly looks like breaking through for his fifth victory on Tour sometime very soon.
Schauffele finished T3 at Colonial last week following a brilliant opening round 65.
Perhaps, more importantly, he was tied for first in greens hit, and considering this is his third visit to Harbour Town, he should feel right at home.
RBC Heritage Best Roughie
Webb Simpson at $26.00
The Tour veteran missed the cut for the first time in over two years at Colonial, so you just know he’s been stewing on that result all week.
Simpson should go easy on himself though considering he’s made the cut in all nine appearances at Harbour Town, including when he lost in a playoff back in 2013 to Graeme McDowell.
It’s also easy to forget the 34-year-old finished third at this years Sony Open before winning the Phoenix Open a month later.
