World No.2 Adam Scott tightened his grip on the Arnold Palmer Invitational in the second round at Bay Hill in Florida on Friday.
Scott fired a four-under-par round to be 14-under for the tournament, holding a seven-shot lead over American duo JB Holmes and Chesson Hadley and Italy’s Francesco Molinari.
Queenslander Scott held a three-shot lead overnight after a stunning opening 10-under-par 62, equalling the course record held by Andy Bean and his fellow Australian Greg Norman.
