The Memorial Tournament Golf Tips, Odds and Betting – 2022 Muirfield Village

On the back of a thrilling conclusion to last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, the PGA TOUR now heads north to Muirfield Village for the annual Memorial Tournament.

Several of the world’s Top 30 golfers will be in attendance, including last year’s winner Patrick Cantlay, who survived in a playoff defeating Collin Morikawa after 54-hole leader Jon Rahm was forced to withdraw due to COVID.

Cameron Smith will again fly the flag for the Aussies alongside Adam Scott and Marc Leishman, while there’s also a strong case to be made for Rory McIlroy and a handful of others.

With the US Open only two weeks away, the Memorial is always a key form guide heading into the third major of the year, and we’ve got you covered with a few of our best betting plays!

The Memorial Tournament Best Bet

Rory McIlroy at $10.00

Comes in riding three consecutive Top 10 finishes.

Well-rested after finishing outright eighth at the PGA Championship and rates third in a key metric when it comes to Muirfield: driving distance.

The Irishman has made the cut in two of his 10 appearances at this tournament and is also among the best on TOUR in putting, another key stat on the new slick greens.

Bet Now: Rory McIlroy

The Memorial Tournament Best Value

Matthew Fitzpatrick at $26.00

Still searching for that elusive first win, but this could finally be the weekend it happens.

The Englishman is well-rested coming off a share for fifth at the PGA Championship a couple of weeks ago, while he also finished outright third at this tournament in 2020.

Bet Now: Matthew Fitzpatrick

Max Homa at $31.00

You mightn’t know it, but Homa has been one of the most consistent guys on TOUR over the last 12 months.

He hasn’t missed the cut since the Farmers and was the recent winner of the Wells Fargo where he carded three rounds of 68 or better.

No shortage of experience on this course after finishing T6 last year, while like Rory, he’s also been among the best in driving distance.

The Memorial Tournament Best Roughie

Adam Long at $101.00

Long tasted a win since his triumph at the Desert Classic in 2019, but he’s been showing some promising signs recently to suggest another one might be around the corner.

The American stormed home last week with a final round 69 in Texas, while he’s also ranked 22nd in Strokes Gained: Putting.

He opened with a strong opening round 67 here last year before fading to a T26 finish, so there’s plenty for him to build on.

Bet Now: Adam Long

Rickie Fowler at $101.00

I’ve tipped Fowler a couple of times this season only to be disappointed, but he does represent some value here at triple figures.

The American carded a couple of Top 25 performances prior to last week’s finish at the Charles Schwab, where a final round 75 was the only thing that got in the way of an otherwise strong tournament.

Four Top 15’s at this tournament really stand out and so too does Fowler’s recent short game.
