US Open Golf Tips, Odds and Betting Preview – 2022 The Country Club in Brookline

The 2022 US Open tees off at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts on Thursday night AEDT, and we’ll be treated to four day of world class golf.

There has been plenty happening in the golfing world throughout the last few weeks but finally, focus will be on the actual golf, and there’s plenty of value to be found in 2022 US Open betting.

I’ve run the rule over the field, and you can find my complete 2022 US Open Tips below.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?

Rory McIlroy ($11)

Rory McIlroy has been playing like a man possessed recently, and he is a fitting favourite in 2022 US Open betting.

The Northern Irishman recorded his twenty-first win on the PGA Tour at last week’s Canadian Open, his second of the season having taken out the CJ Cup back in October.

His performances at Majors this season include a second placing at The Masters and eighth at the PGA Championship last month, and the US Open really does appear to have arrived at the perfect time for him.

Bet Now: Rory McIlroy

Justin Thomas ($13)

PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas has also returned to his best form in 2022, and I’m happy to keep him in my selection ahead of the US Open.

The 29-year-old began his season as part of the USA’s winning Ryder Cup team, and has continued to return excellent performances throughout his campaign – none better than last month’s Major; the second of his career.

He finished third behind McIlroy in Canada last week, and he too is primed for another big showing.

Bet Now: Justin Thomas

Scottie Scheffler ($13)

Ordinarily, backing the top three market elects is not my play, but I genuinely think each of them are a chance in the 2022 US Open, and Scottie Scheffler can also continue his outstanding year.

The 25-year-old has been notable since going pro back in 2018, but he has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence this season, winning the Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Dell Technologies Match Play before tasting maiden major success at The Masters.

He was unlucky not to return to winning form at the Charles Schwab Challenge last month, but he is sure to be around the mark again in Massachusetts.

Bet Now: Scottie Scheffler

Abraham Ancer ($67)

He hasn’t tasted success on tour this season, but Abraham Ancer has looked dangerous on several occasions, and the $67 about him in US Open betting could prove to be overs.

Ancer finished in a tie for fifth at the Dell Technologies Match Play back in March, and while it is fair to say that he was off his game at The Masters, he wasn’t far away at all at the PGA Championship last month and ultimately finished T9.

I’m not entirely confident that he can win, but there’s value to be found in Top 5 and Top 10 betting.

Bet Now: Abraham Ancer

Louis Oosthuizen ($71)

Louis Oosthuizen is one of the bigger names signed to LIV, and I think he’s an extremely intriguing player in US Open Betting.

The South African has mixed his form a little this season, but he has often kept his best for the Majors throughout his career, and his light workload this year should put him in good stead this week.

He too will need to find his best to fight out the finish, but does look a live chance to finish in the Top 10.

Bet Now: Louis Oosthuizen
