All Star nominations for Moonee Valley

The fifth running of the All Star Mile (1600m) will be run at Moonee Valley this year with Caulfield out of action with its redevelopment.

So many stars will be on show including multiple group 1 winner Alligator Blood ($3) and Cox Plate runner-up I’m Thunderstruck ($5).

Doncaster winner Mr Brightside ($6) and Gentleman Roy ($26) will try to keep the Lindsay Park run of form going, Sheeza Belter ($15) will back up for the younger brigade and Aegon ($26) gives the kiwis a chance.

The Inevitable ($26) tries to give Tasmania a second All-Star Mile with his incredible run of picket fence form and old favourite Cascadian ($15) is fancied.

The Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) has moved onto this program and some promising stayers set themselves up for potential future runs in Derbies around the place.

Dunkel ($3.50) is already a Derby the winner at Hobart and now comes back to the mainland. Others to drop back from Australian Guineas include Japanese Emperor ($6), Bank Maur ($6), Amenable ($4.50) and Mr Maestro ($5).

Three year old fillies take to the Typhoon Tracy Stakes (1200m) with a real premium on spots off massive nominations. Several head down from Sydney like Demiana ($51), Paris Dior ($7) and Kazou ($6) while My Bella Mae ($3.20) would trek over from Perth following five wins from six starts.

Plenty of VOBIS racing and the Country Mile Series Final is also shaping as a top betting race.
