The G2 Missile Stakes (1200m) is the first group race of the Sydney racing season and plenty of Group 1 horses have contested it in recent years.

In 2023, we see Caulfield Guineas winner Golden Mile ($5) back to the races. He could face off with talented stablemate and Everest runner Ingratiating ($9).

Fast mare I Am Me ($3 betr fav) is entered and is also in at Flemington, plus a previous Sydney Stakes winner Big Parade ($4) will have his first run for the new stable.

Recent Sydney metro winners Ucalledit ($13) and Wewillrock ($17) have good fitness levels as well.

Another race to note is the Premier’s Cup Prelude over 1800m which is obviously the lead up to the G3 Premier’s Cup run a fortnight later.

Bonny Ezra has returned well plus in form horses like Fawkner Park , Tazaral and Bold Mac are nominated.

Naturally as we re-start a new season, there are no 2yo races until late September so the rest of the card is for 3yo+ events but there are some interesting younger horses throughout the benchmark races.
