Saturday at Randwick is Doncaster Mile day which looks to be a fantastic field this year with super star colt Pierro headlining the field although bookmakers have been happy to take him on in the race with the big weight he will have to carry. The second of the feature races is the Australian Oaks where New Zealand galloper Habibi holds favouritism.
Besides the feature two races there are some other very good fields on the day including four listed races with a total of nine races on the card.

Race One: Newgate Farm Handicap 2400m Form Guide
Back Me: Coup Acclaim should get a sit behind the speed in the race and with the favourite most likely having to be pressured early to find the front with 61kg i think he is the horse who will finish over the top of them.
Don’t Back Me: Vittoria will go up 6kg in the weights against the males i think it will be very hard for her to win with this weight and im happy to leave her out.
Big Danger: Studio looks to be the biggest danger to Coup Acclaim if they go slow up front during the race he will provide a very good kick in the straight.
Roughie:Red Shift was given no hope last start after he went back in the race and the crawled in front before sprinting. If there is a good tempo in the race on Saturday he will be finishing the race off well.

Race Two: Arrowfield Keith Mackay Quality 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Everage goes into the race with the best form line having run behind Safeguard last start in the Kindergarten Stakes she will have to carry the top weight but looks a very classy filly.
Don’t Back Me: Scrutiny lost comprehensively on debut at a Newcastle maiden, she would have to have improved greatly from that run to be competitive here and looks under the odds.
Big Danger: Major Conquest is yet to win a race but has been impressive in her two third placings running behind Scandiva who franked the form on Saturday.
Roughie: She’s A Danica won impressively on debut before doing a lot wrong at Eagle Farm which the race was won by Magic Millions winner Real Surreal, makes the trip down and looks one at odds that could win.

Race Three: Adina Hotels Fernhill Quality 1600m Form Guide
Back Me: Aztec Rose didn’t handle the track very well last start so put a line through that form, the start before she was a very unlucky second against some horses she meets again here. Tommy Berry on board who will give her every chance from barrier 2 and she is at very good odds.
Don’t Back Me: Fuerza was heavily backed last start and wasn’t sighted. Bookmakers are keeping him safe here but i think he is well under the odds against a competitive field.
Big Danger: Rightoncue’s run on Slipper day was very good and should be able to improve on that run on Saturday i wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks his maiden in this race.
Roughie: Diva Dee has been unlucky in most of her runs, she was restrained back last start and was never a hope then. There should be some good speed in this race and she will be finishing well at double figure odds.

Race Four: Mcgrath South Pacific Classic 1400m Form Guide
Back Me: Heart Testa looks very well placed here. She is yet to miss a place in six runs and looks well weighted against much easier competition on Saturday and looks a very good bet at decent odds.
Don’t Back Me: Eximius is coming off a mid week Sandown win which didn’t look to be that strong of a race. Looks to be under the odds against a better field here.
Big Danger: Platinum Kingdom has a very good winning record in New Zealand and will be having his first start in Australia. Looks to be a horse you need to watch if backing anything else in the race.
Roughie: Air Striker was well beaten last start although i think you can put a line through that run. Mike Moroney has decided to keep him in Sydney and i think at long odds can provide a very good sight for backers.

Race Five: Tab.com.au (bm85) 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Snitsky loves a wet track and he will get here. Has drawn a very wide barrier but by race five i dont see that as an issue and he should be going very close and is at very good odds still.
Don’t Back Me: Australian Star was a bit unlucky last start against Senta De Noche and should have finished closer. Doesn’t get into this race well with the weights and doesn’t have a good winning record.
Big Danger: Hurrara is another horse who prefers a rain affected ground and with the large amount of scratchings in the race should be right in the finish.
Roughie: Eucumbene has a very good record at the distance and track and is getting out to very good odds with $17 available.

Race Six: Japan Racing Association Plate 2000m Form Guide
Back Me: Kelinni will have to carry 60kg in the race but his run in the BMW with 59kg on a slow track was huge. He drops back in distance which is a bit of a concern but he meets a much inferior field to what he has been racing against lately.
Don’t Back Me: Hoylonny is often slow to begin and despite his last run being good if he does that here there are a lot of horses to get around so im willing to risk him.
Big Danger: Scream Machine looks well played here and looks to have some good form around Havana Rey which has been franked looks a danger to the top selection.
Roughie: Maules Creek’s form looks terrible this preparation but he hasn’t raced badly. At $17 here he looks a good each way bet.

Race Seven: Australian Oaks 2400m Form Guide
Back Me: Habibi has had one start over the distance for one win. She had her first start in Australia in the Storm Queen where she hit the line strongly. The extra distance will suit and she looks very hard to beat on Saturday.
Don’t Back Me: Longport’s run was very good in the Storm Queen when running second although i think she is better in the wet so with the track likely to be a dead wont get any favours here.
Big Danger: Summerbliss had no favours last start and should be able to turn things around here where she looks to be a big danger at double figure odds.
Roughie: Gondokoro was sent back last start in the Storm Queen and ran on well along the inside. Will improve from that run and being from Zabeel will relish the increase in distance.

Race Eight: Doncaster Mile 1600m Form Guide
Back Me: Pierro is a superstar. People always looks for reasons why he can’t win and this race is no different. Has drawn well and although probably not the best weighted horse in the race he is all class. Will get the perfect run from barrier 4 and willl be winning unless he finds trouble or gets boxed in.
Don’t Back Me: Appearance has won her last two but that was against her own sex. She meets a very good field here and from barrier 14 will have to do it tough throughout the run so im happy to leave her out.
Big Danger: Shoot Out is well weighted against Pierro this time in and his run in the BMW in unsuitable ground was very good he looks the biggest danger to the favourite.
Roughie: Secret Admirer will go back from her wide barrier and if there is a good tempo which it looks like it will she will be getting home strongly at long odds. She has placed 7 times from 9 starts over the distance and looks a good each way bet.

Race Nine: Cargo Bar Handicap 1400m Form Guide
Back Me: Cantonese looks well placed here and in a very open race the odds of $19 looks very good value.
Don’t Back Me: Keith’s Legacy’s best runs have all come on rain affected ground. The track should be a Dead 5 for Saturday’s racing and if so he is well under the odds at $2.80.
Big Danger: Under The Sun looks the likely danger in the race and should get a good run from barrier eight. He will be right in the finish.
Roughie: Euryale will need luck from barrier 20 although she is a very talented galloper and warrants respect in this field.

Best Bet: Kelinni is just a class above this field and despite having to carry the top weight in the race he looks a very good bet at $5 plus you can back him each way with the large field to cover your win bet.
Next Best: Pierro has been drifting at every turn in the market for the Doncaster Mile with punters trying to get value around the favourite. Sportsbet are offering $4 for him HERE so get on at that price.
Best Roughie: The last race on the day looks to be very open which is why i have gone for some value in the way of Cantonese who at $19 looks a good bet.
