Group 1 racing returns to Brisbane on Saturday with one of the strongest editions of the Doomben 10,000 in history.
Some of the best sprinters in Australia and indeed the world will chase their share in $1.5 million, including many previous winners at the highest level.

Doomben 10,000 – Winner
I think he could be about as good as they come at the moment, and I agree with early Doomben 10,000 betting – Giga Kick will be extremely hard to beat.
He stamped himself as one to watch by winning each of his first five career starts last year, peaking with a memorable performance in The Everest, and he has returned to the races in similarly stunning form this time.
He’s been freshened since winning the All Aged Stakes, won a trial, and getting back to 1200m should prove ideal this week.

Doomben 10,000 – 2nd
He’s a good horse, Vilana, and he looks one of the key threats in the 2023 Doomben 10,000 field.
The Hallowed Crown entire has recorded seven wins and a close-up second from his twelve career starts to date, and returned last month for a comfortable win over some talented opposition in the Hall Mark Stakes.
This is obviously quite a rise in class, but I like that he has been kept up to the mark with a trial, and Brad Rawiller has options from the rails draw.

Doomben 10,000 – 3rd
The second Godolphin entrant in this year’s Doomben 10,000 field is Aft Cabin, and in my opinion, he’s probably the most intriguing of the eleven engaged.
He would have started a short favourite in the Neds Caulfield Guineas last spring before his preparation was cruelly cut short, and while Aft Cabin didn’t look as dominant in a couple of middle-distance races in autumn, his two appearances in sprints heralded two wins.
He’s drawn ideally under James McDonald, obviously both ticks, and he does boast a class edge over a number of his rivals.

Doomben 10,000 – 4th
The value in Doomben 10,000 betting undoubtedly lies with Mariamia, in my opinion.
Mariamia has returned to the races in career-best form this year, and broke through for her first win at the highest level in The Galaxy at Rosehill Gardens in March.
She was last seen finishing a credible fifth behind I Wish I Win in the TJ Smith Stakes, and she does look a live chance of building on her impressive fresh record this week.
The $20 about her in Doomben 10,000 betting at publish is big overs.
