Dual Group 1 winner Malaguerra retired from racing

Group One winning sprinter Malaguerra has been retired from racing.

Malaguerra has been nominated for this weekends G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes although connection Bruno Micalizzi announced on twitter that the horse will be retired immediately opening a spot for Age Of Chivalry to run in the race.

Bruno thanked those apart of the horses career with Malaguerra spending most of his time in the Anthony Freedman and Peterr Gelagotis stables prior to Lindsey Smith who took over ahead of his current campaign.

“Big thank you to Lindsey Smith Racing and staff for trying to get him to the Rupert Clarke .Malaguerra is sound but just spent .Time to retire to the green pastures in Perth.Cheers to all that have helped along the journey” he said.

Malaguerra won two Group Ones in the way of the VRC Sprint Classic and the BTC Cup.
