Members of ‘the golden generation’ head the betting in TAB’s Magic Millions 3YO Guineas market to be run on January 12.
Outstanding colts Graff, Lean Mean Machine and Zousain all share top billing at $8 and are the only horses in single figures, with three horses on the next line of betting including Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Sunlight at $11. The only horse missing from the betting is The Autumn Sun.
Graff has already attracted some specking and has been a popular horse with multi players while the same could be said for Zousain.
In the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, Breeders Plate winner Dubious ($8) is the only runner under double figures for trainers Ciaron Maher & David Eustace. The son of Not A Single Doubt has only had the one start and hasn’t been seen at the races since his win on September 29.
Punters have taken to the futures markets quite quickly with good specking for Eleven Eleven ($15).
“Our traders couldn’t split the three colts at the top of the market for the three-year-old feature,” TAB’s Andrew Georgiou said.
“They are prepared to give double figures about Sunlight at the moment which could be generous considering she beat Zousain up the straight at Flemington in the Coolmore.
“In the two-year-old, Dubious was impressive winning his debut and heads our market but with many of the juveniles yet to see action, I would say this market will chop and change several times before race day.”
