It is Easter and that means it is the Easter Cup and the Victoria Handicap but not this year at Caulfield.

The G3 Easter Cup (2100m) has some G1 standard horses engaged. White Marlin ($6) holds a prominent place in the early Melbourne Cup betting and is here for Tulloch Lodge.

Third Realm ($26) has contested G1s overseas, same goes for Camorra ($26) and there is also the good locals like Barb Raider ($15) and the flying Right You Are ($4.50).

In the G3 Victoria Handicap (1400m) for the sprinters, Ayrton ($6) chases back to back wins. He will face a few who just need a change of luck like Clemenceau ($4.50) and Uncle Bryn ($8) back to the right company.

Aside from a series of Benchmark races, the other black type event is the Listed Redoute’s Choice (1200m) for the juveniles named after the grand stallion.

Nominations were extended but Bossy Nic tries to back up her impressive G3 win from Flemington but other winners are I Am Unstoppable and Waimarie.
