Former Australian racehorse of the year Lankan Rupee headlines a field of 12 for the $1 million Group One Darley Classic at Flemington.
Lankan Rupee, third in last month’s Caulfield Sprint at his first start for a year, has barrier seven for Saturday’s 1200m straight track sprint.
The field includes Newmarket Handicap winner The Quarterback, prolific winner Our Boy Malachi and last-start Manikato Stakes placegetters Fell Swoop and Japonsime.
