Cox Plate placegetter Humidor will take no further part in the spring carnival with trainer Darren Weir saying he had pulled up sore from his third behind Winx.
Humidor is the second Weir-trained horse to come out of Saturday’s race at Moonee Valley in bad shape with Kings Will Dream suffering a pelvic fracture.
Weir says the stable is yet to determine the full extent of Humidor’s injury while Kings Will Dream remains in the Ballarat Veterinary Clinic where he is being closely monitored.
Humidor was one of the favourites for the Mackinnon Stakes.
