It’s A Dundeel has eased in Victoria Derby betting but is still the one that punters want according to online bookmaker sportsbet.

The Kiwi three-year-old’s stocks for the Classic took a hit when he was beaten by Victoria Derby 2012 rival Super Cool at Moonee Valley last Saturday.

However, while his price has eased from $1.90 to $3.00, It’s A Dundeel has remained popular with punters, taking three times the amount of money than the second best backed runner Hvasstan, who is solid at $6.00.

“It’s A Dundeel was beaten fair and square at the Valley, but punters are probably of the belief he will be better suited at Flemington,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

“Those that burnt their fingers, taking the short odds last Saturday, are obviously keen to get something back. The horse looks an out and out stayer so the bigger track will definitely suit him and there is no risk he will run out the 2500m.”

Geelong Classic winner Solemn has had admirers and remains firm in betting at $5.00. Super Cool is steady at $7.00 and Subiaso is the best backed roughie at $17.
