Race 1 – 1:03pm – Sky Racing Handicap (1110m)

No. 3 Battledance

I’m going to give Battledance another chance second-up on Keith Noud Quality Day.

The Invader colt showed ability at the trials prior to debuting and started favourite here a couple of weeks ago, but raced greenly and finished fourth.

I’m confident he’ll enjoy plenty of improvement for that experience and he can fight out the finish of this race.

Race 2 – 1:38pm – BRC Membership BM80 Handicap (2000m)

No. 2 Youngblood

Youngblood can return to winning form in the second at Doomben on Saturday.

The Sacred Falls gelding stripped fitter with a couple of fair efforts when resuming this time before recording consecutive wins at Toowoomba and Eagle Farm.

He ran home well to finish third, beaten half a length last time and steps out in what is a similar contest at peak fitness.

Race 3 – 2:13pm – XXXX Dry Class 6 Handicap (1600m)

No. 6 So Taken

Chris Waller will saddle the favourite in Race 3 on Keith Noud Quality Day and I think that So Taken will justify her quote.

So Taken hasn’t won in four starts back this time, but she has improved noticeably with each, and she takes her place in this contest following a couple of credible performances for second at this track and trip most recently.

She has found form around some decent gallopers and looks well placed to break through.

Race 4 – 2:52pm – Mount Franklin BM72 Handicap (1600m)

No. 12 Sienna’s Choice

Sienna’s Choice rates as a key winning chance in the fourth.

The Love Conquers All mare won three races in succession through august at September, and is unlucky not to be taking winning form into this race after only just missing in BM75 company at Eagle Farm last time.

She gets into this race well, particularly with Jaden Lloyd’s claim, and she is drawn to receive every chance in running.

Race 5 – 3:32pm – Country Finals Raceday 4 December 3YO Handicap (1200m)

No. 11 Inasec

This is a rise in class for Inasec, but she couldn’t have been more impressive on debut, and she can continue her journey through the grades.

The Spirit Of Boom filly was taken straight to the lead by Steph Thornton on the Sunshine Coast and dictated terms, ultimately holding on to beat Nord Lyon and Chatty Lady.

She’ll enjoy plenty of improvement for that effort, while she can employ a similar on-pace tactic from her inside draw.

At around the $8 mark, we can have an each-way play.

Race 6 – 4:12pm – Cascade BM80 Handicap (1050m)

No. 6 Lyrical Girl

Lyrical Girl can record another win here at Doomben on Saturday.

The Tony Gollan-trained mare simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and she has recorded five wins and seven minor placings from just fourteen trips to the races.

She takes her place in this contest following a smart win in a similar race at this track and trip, and I just cannot find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.

Race 7 – 4:52pm – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1200m)

No. 3 Pull Anchor

This looms as one of the more open contests on the program and there is a case to be made for several chances, including Pull Anchor.

Pull Anchor has been a model of consistency for several seasons now, and she has placed in each of her two starts back this time, including a similar contest to this at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago.

She will need to make up several lengths on the likes of Nicci Trix, but I’m expecting plenty of improvement, and we can have another each-way play at around the $8 mark.

Race 8 – 5:32pm – Listed Keith Noud Quality (1200m)

No. 2 The Harrovian

Some of Queensland’s best gallopers are engaged and I simply cannot wait to seek the likes of Niccanova, The Harrovian and Tambo’s Mate go around in the Keith Noud Quality.

The Harrovian has been a revelation since arriving in Queensland and I am confident that he can strike fresh.

He actually hasn’t won during is last two short preps, but he has raced well in quality company, and finished third behind Eduardo in the Doomben 10,000 when resuming last time.

He’s had the benefit of a trial in the lead-up to this and his class will carry him a long way towards winning.

Race 9 – 6:12pm – Gallopers Sports Club BM85 Handicap (1350m)

No. 12 Morethannumberone

Morethannumberone is gunning for a hat-trick when he steps out in the last on Keith Noud Quality Day, and I am confident that he can and will pull it off.

The Michael Costa-trained gelding has recorded three wins from four starts back this time, and only just missed behind Lasting Kiss on the other occasion.

He has been freshened since his most recent effort and win on the Gold Coast, was sent back to the trials and looks ready to strike.
