Leading Magic Millions Guineas contender King Of Hastings has tuned up for his assignment with a barrier trial win at Rosehill.
Trained by Anthony Freedman, King Of Hastings has done all his racing so far in Victoria but handled a major clockwise test on Monday with aplomb.
He cruised to the front in the straight and beat the fast-finishing Bjorn Baker-trained Redouble by a neck.
King Of Hastings is on the third line of betting for the Guineas with the market dominated by Caulfield Guineas runner-up Alligator Blood, winner of the Vo Rogue Plate on Saturday.
Damien Oliver will ride King Of Hastings in the $2 million Magic Millions Guineas (1400m) on Saturday week at the Gold Coast.
The three-year-old will continue his trip north on Saturday.
Redouble will also head to Queensland to defend the Magic Millions Cup.
