Aussies have a great record in the King’s Stand Stakes, and while we won’t have anyone flying the flag in 2021, there’s still a winner to be found and value to be extracted.
Battaash has been considered amongst the world’s best sprinters for several seasons now, and perhaps unsurprisingly, he has opened our favourite in 2021 King’s Stand Stakes betting.
Have I put him on top? Read on to me 2021 King’s Stand Stakes Tips to find out!
King’s Stand Stakes – Winner
No. 2 Battaash – Bet Now
I actually expected him to open closer to even money, so I am more than keen to get involved with he $2.80 about Battaash in King’s Stand Stakes betting (at publish).
Battaash resumed for a lovely win in this race last year, progressing to wins in both the Group 2 King George Stakes and the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes.
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t be so keen to back a horse that is resuming off this great of a spell, but this bloke isn’t an ordinary horse.
King’s Stand Stakes – 2nd
No. 16 Winter Power – Bet Now
Winter Power is another horse that doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and she can fight out the finish of the King’s Stand Stakes.
The Bungle Inthejungle filly ended her last prep with consecutive wins, including the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket, and she picked up where she left off with a lovely win at York last month.
With improvement for that effort with a light weight in tow, she looks the key danger to Battaash’s chances of defending his crown.
King’s Stand Stakes – 3rd
No. 12 Liberty Beach – Bet Now
Liberty Beach’s resuming effort suggested that she has returned in excellent condition this time, and she can run into the King’s Stand Stakes first three.
The Cable Bay filly returned several pleasing efforts last prep without a whole lot of consistency, but hardly looked troubled on her way to an easy win in the Group 2 Temple Stakes last month.
I’m confident that she’ll only improve for that effort and with the right run, she too can fight out the finish.
King’s Stand Stakes – 4th
No. 5 King’s Lynn – Bet Now
King’s Lynn looks to be a nice bit of value in King’s Stand Stakes betting.
King’s Lynn has missed placing only once in eight career starts since debuting and he has improved for three back this time, culminating in a smart win at Haydock last time.
This is a noticeable rise in class which is why we’re getting the big price, but if he continues on the same trajectory, I don’t think that it is beyond him.
