Melbourne form be tested again ahead of the 2021 Golden Slipper

Godolphin will bid to make a clean sweep of the juvenile races at Rosehill with Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up Ingratiating and filly Arcaded.

The Blue Diamond Stakes form will again go under the microscope when Godolphin pair Ingratiating and Arcaded make their Sydney debuts at Rosehill.

Stablemate Anamoe, who finished third in the Group One juvenile feature, underlined the Victorian race as a key form reference when he claimed the scalp of Golden Slipper favourite Profiteer to win the Todman Stakes last Saturday.

This weekend, Blue Diamond runner-up Ingratiating will be out to frank the Melbourne two-year-old form when he tackles the Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill.

Arcaded, who was unplaced in the Blue Diamond after racing on the worst part of the track, will also step out in the Magic Night Stakes (1200m) for the fillies.

Trainer James Cummings said Ingratiating had arrived in Sydney in terrific order and continued to thrive.

“He’s probably the best-performed runner in the race and his outstanding second placing in the Blue Diamond was full of class and resolve,” Cummings said.

“His trackwork this week has been full of enthusiasm.”

Arcaded had won her two starts leading into the Blue Diamond and Cummings relied on those performances when assessing her Rosehill chances.

“Arcaded performed brilliantly in Melbourne in the lead up to the Blue Diamond where the inside draw proved detrimental to her chances,” he said.

“She is an efficient, compact, no-fuss filly who has trained on beautifully since arriving in Sydney.”
