Miracles run set to continue to Goodwood Handicap 2014

Miracles Of Life has come through her Group Two win on Saturday in good order and remains on track to back up in the Group One Goodwood at Morphettville.

The popular filly returned to winning form in Saturday’s Sportingbet Stakes, scoring her first victory since the 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Miracles Of Life, Dean Yendall

Trainer Daniel Clarken will wait until Tuesday morning before making a final decision but is planning to run the three-year-old in Saturday’s 1200m feature.

“We put a saddle on her this morning and she’s certainly nice and bright,” Clarken told Melbourne radio station RSN.

“She looks good in the coat. She looks like she’s come through it very well.

“If she’s in the same order tomorrow morning I couldn’t see why she couldn’t go around.”

While Miracles Of Life is due to be sold at public auction later this month, Clarken admitted he would like to see the filly race on rather than be retired – regardless of whether it was in his care.

“I probably would because I don’t think she’s got to her best yet,” he said.

“I’ve always thought she was probably better at seven furlongs (1400m) and we’ve never got there.

“It would be tough to watch her go around in someone else’s hands but for the horse, I think she hasn’t given her best yet.”

Miracles Of Life won the Sportingbet Stakes by 1/3-4 lengths with Dean Yendall aboard for the first time.

“It was a thrill to see her back in full flight,” Clarken said.

Yendall has the ride on Miracles Of Life in The Goodwood, Adelaide’s premier sprint.
