The next four weeks see G1s conducted at Morphettville along with other important feature races in Adelaide at a carnival which usually throws up a good horse.
We kick off with the G1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) for the fillies where they chase the ultimate prize for their futures.
Arts ($4) comes through the Sydney fillies carnival races and back to 2000m may help her. She will be facing a lot of those who have already been in Adelaide with those coming through the Auraria Stakes making a play like Jennilala ($8).
Affaire A Suivre ($7) does run after beating the boys in the Port Adelaide Guineas while She’s Fit ($5) has been running in the Perth classics.
More 3yos in action as the G3 Chairman’s Stakes (2000m) field provides them a lead into the South Australian Derby.
Aberfeldie Boy, placed in the Victoria Derby, is seen now second up off his maiden victory. He’ll have company from the likes of Tasmanian Derby winner Dunkel, Ain’t He Grand from Sydney and Suizuro off his Australian Derby placing.
Nominations were extended for the G3 Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) as the juveniles seek a good prize. Godolphin’s Heuristic is a last start winner here.
Maybe some future hurdlers running in the Listed Port Adelaide Cup (2500m) with Warrnambool on soon. Some bring in nice winning form lines while others are nominated off Hurdle trials like Dashing Willoughby.
