Favourite Dalasan will have 13 opponents in his bid to win the Group One South Australian Derby at Morphettville.
Locally trained by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas, the colt has drawn barrier nine in Saturday’s 2500m SA Derby in which he will be ridden by Jason Holder.

Dalasan is chasing a third straight victory having won the traditional lead-up races, the Port Adelaide Guineas and Chairman’s Stakes, both at Morphettville, at his past two starts.
Victoria Derby winner Warning has drawn barrier three and will be ridden by last week’s Australasian Oaks winning jockey Damien Thornton with the lightly raced northern hemisphere-bred colt Russian Camelot, from the Danny O’Brien stable, in barrier seven.
Chris Waller will chase a second Group One Adelaide victory after Toffee Tongue’s Australasian Oaks win last week and will be represented by Miyake who has drawn the widest gate.
The John McArdle-trained Themoonlitegambler, second to Dalasan last start, has barrier one.
Three fillies, Moonlight Maid, Silent Sovereign and Zayydani back up after contesting last week’s Oaks.
Last year the Lindsay Park-trained Qafila finished fourth in Oaks before taking out the Derby.
